Vibing
What we are doing would be impossible a year ago. Now, with the power of AI, we are moving incredibly fast. Vibe coding gives us rapid prototyping like never before. It is faster for me now to use Cursor + Xcode to build prototypes of ideas instead of doing them in Figma or Principle.
This is a breathtaking moment in technology, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. I started my career while still in high school by building websites. It was incredibly thrilling to realize you can build something so many people will be able to see and engage with. I did poorly designed Flash websites back then.
Later, I learned how to code and a thing or two about web standards, moved to Linux, and became a proponent of Free Software (Free as in Freedom, not free beer). At the time, I believed that web technology was going to replace everything, and was really excited for PalmOS. Yes, I’m quite old at this point.
And my point is that I lived through different stages of technology, and this one is like nothing we saw before. Artificial Intelligence is empowering a completely new way of working and interacting with information. I wrote about natural agents and how they might completely replace both websites and apps. The way we connect, play, and work together is changing forever.
A lot of what we are building at Know Your People now is a bridge between the apps world and the agents world. We are still making an app, but we know we will innovate it out of existence in a decade.
I sense a fundamental shift in not only tech but in society. With People App and with many other projects we will see supercharge connections helping to build new types of communities. I’m not sure how this will shape up yet, but I wonder if we will value privacy and quality in our networks as never before.
